Photodynamic Therapy

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a clinically approved, minimally invasive therapeutic procedure that can force cancerous cells to die. This therapy can also be used with patients who have weak immune systems, because it mainly effects cancerous cells not healthy cells. Due to this there are minimal side effects and can be used with other treatments.
The procedure involves administration of a photosensitizing agent ‘a light sensitive medication’ that is made in Aoki Clinic’s sterilization room. The medication is then followed by irradiation. In the presence of ultraviolet light and oxygen, a series of events lead to direct tumor cell death and reduces inflammation in the bodies’ circulatory system. It can prolong survival in inoperable cancers and significantly improve quality of life. With recent technological advancements, PDT has the potential to become integrated into the mainstream of cancer treatment.

Low reactive Level Laser Therapy(LLLT)

Low-level laser therapy is provided as effective alternative to surgery or medications—without the accompanying side effects. It can help regenerate tissue, reduce inflammation, decrease pain, increase antioxidants and improves the body’s immune system. Research has shown its efficacy in treating many conditions. Unlike high-power, high heat lasers used in certain medical procedures, this procedure will use a low-level laser which has no heating or burning of tissues.

About treatment

“LLLT” used for treatments is a system that was approved for the first time in the world for the purpose of intravenous, interstitial, intra-articular and photodynamic laser treatments. It is a medical device which had been developed in Germany about 20 years ago and was already proved to have no clinical problem after being managed and used at the medical sites in 30 countries throughout the world including EU, Canada and Taiwan.
